I first heard of Pilates back in 2004 from my Chiropractor. I was seeing a Chiropractor for excruciating lower back pain. He took X-rays & informed me that I had Scoliosis. He said to try Pilates, and after about a month or so I felt so much better! I wanted to learn as much as possible about Pilates. Now I ️love helping others feel better too!
Elyssa received her Pilates training from The Kane School in New York City and taught at Equinox shortly after completing her training program. Elyssa returned to Pittsburgh in 2017 and began teaching at Club Pilates in 2018. Growing up a dancer, Elyssa relates to the movement and the mind-body connection of Pilates very well. It is the only form of exercise that does not aggravate and has actually improved her low back injury. It's also a form of exercise that has increased her flexibility and made her feel as strong as ever. Elyssa truly believes Pilates can improve anyone and everyone's life and is eager to demonstrate it to as many people as possible.
