Our Team
Cara Metallo began her Pilates journey in 2005 in New York City. In 2009 she was certified in Mat Pilates from PHI. Cara has been teaching with the Fox Chapel Area Adult education since then. In 2011 she was certified as a Holistic Health Care Professional from the American Association of Drug less Practitioners and the School of Integrative Nutrition. Currently Cara has completed her Barre Above certification as well as her Comprehensive certification in Reformer, TRX, Exo Chair, Barre, Ladder Barrel and Spine Corrector.
Emily discovered Pilates after having her 5th child. She tried pelvic floor therapy and felt she needed something more to sufficiently rehab her whole body. She turned to the principles of Pilates to strengthen her core, correct her poor posture, support hypermobile joints, and improve simple daily tasks. Pilates exercises 2 to 3 times a week changed everything!

Emily is a Pediatric Occupational Therapist and earned her Comprehensive certification in Pilates mat and mixed apparatus. She now uses her new career as a Pilates Instructor to improve everyday functional activities through classical and modern Pilates exercises. Degrees: MS in Occupational Therapy and BS in Health Science with a minor in Psychology and focus in Special Ed. from Duquesne University.

Kim began her Pilates journey after agreeing to attend a class with a friend. After practicing for 8 years, she accepted the opportunity to become a certified Stott Pilates instructor and achieved her certification in 2016. She taught classes at the Pilates Centre in Hampton until it's closing in 2020. When she was not teaching Pilates, she works full-time as an Occupational Therapist/Certified Hand Therapist including leading the rehabilitation program for the Pittsburgh hand transplant team. She now has a new home studio at Aplomb Pilates and looks forward to working with all of our wonderful clients!
