Owner/Instructor
Cara Metallo
Cara Metallo began her Pilates journey in 2005 in New York City. In 2009 she was certified in Mat Pilates from PHI. Cara has been teaching with the Fox Chapel Area Adult education since then. In 2011 she was certified as a Holistic Health Care Professional from the American Association of Drug less Practitioners and the School of Integrative Nutrition. Cara has a comprehensive Reformer certification including, Chair, Tower, TRX, and Trigger Point release. Cara believes in the classic Pilates Principles and teaches with a fun, energetic modern twist.

Emily Wallace
Emily discovered Pilates after having her 5th child. She tried pelvic floor therapy and felt she needed something more to sufficiently rehab her whole body. She turned to the principles of Pilates for healing.

Emily is a Pediatric Occupational Therapist. She is dual certified with Classical Pilates level 1 and Modern Comprehensive certification in Pilates mat and mixed apparatus.

Degrees: M.S. in Occupational Therapy, B.S. in Health Science with a minor in Psychology and focus in Special Education from Duquesne University.

Instructor
Karen Simmons
Karen has over 35 years teaching movement in Pittsburgh. She has taught at esteemed locations such as Capa, Point Park University, Wellspring Pilates, the Pilates Centre and many others. Karen has certifications in Core Dynamics Pilates, Gyrotonic Expansion System and Tower as well as certification in Gyro kinesis. Karen brings such knowledge and experience with her B.S. in Health and Physical Education as well as a B.A. in Dance Science.

Instructor
Kim Maguire
Kim began her Pilates journey by agreeing to attend a class with a friend. This led to 8 years of practice that evolved to accepting an opportunity to become a certified Stott Pilates instructor. After achieving her certification in 2016 for all levels of matwork and reformer, she taught at the Pilates Centre until its closure in 2020. She went on to receive further training for the stability chair, stability ball, fitness circle, BOSU, arc barrel and Cadillac. Her training also included Pilates for rehabilitation consisting of fascial focus, foundational movement, athletic conditioning and golf conditioning with the V2Max Plus Reformer. This complimented her rehabilitative knowledge and experience as an Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist that included leading the rehabilitation program for the Pittsburgh hand transplant team. She now works in the field of health care Compliance. Her education includes a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from Boston University and a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Communications from Carlow College.
