Cara Metallo began her Pilates journey in 2005 in New York City. In 2009 she was certified in Mat Pilates from PHI. Cara has been teaching with the Fox Chapel Area Adult education since then. In 2011 she was certified as a Holistic Health Care Professional from the American Association of Drug less Practitioners and the School of Integrative Nutrition. Cara has a comprehensive Reformer certification including, chair, Towner, TRX and Trigger Point release. Cara believes in the classic Pilates Principles and teaches with a fun, energetic modern twist.
Emily discovered Pilates after having her 5th child. She tried pelvic floor therapy and felt she needed something more to sufficiently rehab her whole body. She turned to the principles of Pilates to strengthen her core, correct her poor posture, support hypermobile joints, and improve simple daily tasks. Pilates exercises 2 to 3 times a week changed everything!
Emily is a Pediatric Occupational Therapist and earned her Comprehensive certification in Pilates mat and mixed apparatus. She now uses her new career as a Pilates Instructor to improve everyday functional activities through classical and modern Pilates exercises. Degrees: MS in Occupational Therapy and BS in Health Science with a minor in Psychology and focus in Special Ed. from Duquesne University.

You deserve to repair and redeem your mental, sexual, and physical self so you can continue to give love and care to others. You can't fill up others if you are empty."
Karen has over 35 years teaching movement in Pittsburgh. She has taught at many esteemed locations such as Capa, Point Park University, Wellspring Pilates, the Pilates Centre and many others. Karen has certifications in Core Dynamics Pilates, Gyrotonic Expansion System and Tower as well as certification in Gyro kinesis. Karen brings such knowledge and experience with her B.S. in Health and Physical Education as well as a B.A. in Dance Science.
Kim began her Pilates journey after agreeing to attend a class with a friend. After practicing for 8 years, she accepted the opportunity to become a certified Stott Pilates instructor and achieved her certification in 2016. She taught classes at the Pilates Centre in Hampton until its' closure in 2020. When she is not teaching Pilates, she works full-time as an Occupational Therapist/Certified Hand Therapist including leading the rehabilitation program for the Pittsburgh hand transplant team. She now has a new home studio at Aplomb Pilates and looks forward to working with all of our wonderful clients!
Elizabeth is a Peak Pilates Level 1 certified instructor. She is a certified yoga instructor, and former ballet dancer. From the dance industry to getting her degree and joining the corporate world, she has consistently found herself drawn back to the mind-body-spirit connection of yoga and Pilates. Through trial and error in her own practices, she has found ease, freedom and joy in holistic wellness and is excited to continue to share through yoga and Pilates.
Though Elizabeth’s roots are in Philadelphia, she is married to a Sewickley-native and has equally fallen in love with the city of Pittsburgh.
